Beth is one in a million.
She is kind.
She is active.
She is motivated.
We first met Beth in 2013 when she was selected as one of our Wondergirl Award winners, an annual honor we offer to Girls on the Run alumnae who are boldly pursuing our dreams. In her nomination, Beth shared that Girls on the Run helped her learn how to challenge herself while still allowing for mistakes to happen. When Beth graduated college, she took a job near the Girls on the Run headquarters in Charlotte, NC. Since her schedule did not allow her to coach like she did in high school and college, Beth reached out to see if we had any other volunteer opportunities available. Participating in filming for our One in a Million video is probably not what she had in mind, but she was ready to help in any way she could! We are grateful to Beth for helping us show that the impact of Girls on the Run stays with girls throughout their lives!
